A whole-number result passes the test.
The standard check multiplies each of the 14 digits by a matching weight, adds the results and divides the total by 10 or 11. No remainder means the pair passes that rule. Some sort-code ranges use a double-alternate method, and some require a second check or a documented exception.
A pass shows only that the account number is possible for that sort code. It does not confirm that the account exists or is in use. Details that fail should be checked with the account holder.

Every weekday from April to October, two purpose-built boats carry groups of children and adults with disabilities or serious illnesses along the Gloucester-Sharpness Canal. Wide ramps, wheelchair access throughout, a lift to the wheelhouse and an adjustable steering unit let guests move around and take a turn at the helm. The days are free, with a trained skipper and volunteers aboard.
